The large pan is also from Grandma\u2019s&#8230; it serves a crowd. This recipe can easily be doubled and the veggies can stay about the same.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-502\" title=\"2012-04-07_18-36-18_746\" src=\"http:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012-04-07_18-36-18_7462.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"958\" srcset=\"https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012-04-07_18-36-18_7462.gif 540w, https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012-04-07_18-36-18_7462-169x300.gif 169w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I serve this with a wonderful unleavened Armenian bread you may call lahvosh and Armenian pilaf. \u00a0Of course we added salad and fruit.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This really is a complete meal&#8230; enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>RECIPE: Armenian Shish Kabob<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Serves 6-8<\/em><\/p>\n<p>INGREDIENTS:<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a05 lbs cubed leg of lamb<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0Juice of 3 lemons<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a01 onion diced<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a02 ripe tomatoes diced<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a02 hot banana peppers diced (Use only one if you don&#8217;t like the heat!)<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a03 cloves of garlic minced<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0Salt and pepper<\/p>\n<p>I ask the butcher to precut my cubed leg of lamb. \u00a0I prefer domestic lamb as it is less gamey than New Zealand lamb. Marinate the lamb with the above ingredients. \u00a0Then add kosher salt and pepper. \u00a0Marinate the day before, this is important to get the best taste.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a08-10 small ripe tomatoes<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a06 cubanella peppers (sweet peppers)<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a04-6 red peppers<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a04 green peppers<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a04 hot banana peppers<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a08 onions small white or sweet<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>DIRECTIONS:<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0Clean the vegetables, cut the peppers in quarters to skewer cleaning out the seeds.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0The next day prepare a &#8220;hot&#8221; grill.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0Skewer the lamb separately from the veggies&#8230; skewer the onions, tomatoes and peppers \u00a0 each on different skewers. \u00a0Have a large covered Dutch oven ready.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0Grill the meat and veggies alternating when done slice off into large pan. \u00a0As you do this \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0you will quarter the onions, and tomatoes. \u00a0The mixture will look like stew when \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0everything is grilled and in large covered pot put it on the grill at a lower heat to simmer.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0Serve with pilaf and enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><strong><a title=\"recipe: armenian pilaf &amp; lahvosh\" href=\"http:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/?p=712\">RECIPE: Armenian Pilaf \u00a0<em>(Click to Read)<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"father\u2019s day dinner and wine 2012\" href=\"http:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/?p=1315\"><strong><strong>Wine Suggestions for this Meal <em>(Click to Read)<\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have an eclectic holiday celebration. \u00a0This year we decided on serving lamb for the second night of Passover and my traditional Easter. \u00a0Lamb and specifically lamb Shish kabob is my favorite meal.
