The first is a butter cream and the second is the corrected fluffy strawberry frosting that\u00a0was referenced in the original recipe incorrectly. I doubled the recipe below to make 4 cakes, so you have a four layer cake. \u00a0I made the first batch and then the second.<\/p>\n<p>The cake was tall, impressive, and so delicious! \u00a0I am always a fan of a great butter cream frosting but again you can also use the fluffy whipping cream frosting and what&#8217;s ever bad with whipping cream!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>CAKE INGREDIENTS: <em>(Makes 2, repeat for a 4 layer)<\/em><br \/>\n\u2022 1 cup butter softened<br \/>\n\u2022 2 cups of sugar<br \/>\n\u2022 2 teaspoons of vanilla<br \/>\n\u2022 2-1\/4 cups of all-purpose flour, &#8220;King Arthur&#8217;s Flour&#8221;<br \/>\n\u2022 2-1\/2 teaspoons of baking powder<br \/>\n\u2022 1\/4 teaspoon of salt<br \/>\n\u2022 1 cup of pink champagne or sparkling wine, room temperature<br \/>\n\u2022 5 large egg whites, room temperature<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3582\" src=\"http:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0376.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0376\" width=\"540\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0376.jpg 540w, https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0376-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>STRAWBERRY BUTTERCREAM FROSTING INGREDIENTS:<br \/>\n\u2022 2 cups of unsalted butter softened<br \/>\n\u2022 1 2lb bag of confectioners sugar<br \/>\n\u2022 1\/2 cup heavy whipping cream<br \/>\n\u2022 1\/4 teaspoon of kosher salt<br \/>\n\u2022 1\/3 cup of finely chopped strawberries<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3584\" src=\"http:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0378.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0378\" width=\"540\" height=\"405\" srcset=\"https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0378.jpg 540w, https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0378-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>WHIPPED CREAM FROSTING INGREDIENTS:<br \/>\n\u2022 1-1\/2 cups of chopped strawberries<br \/>\n\u2022 2 cups of heavy whipping cream<br \/>\n\u2022 1 cup of confectioners sugar<br \/>\n\u2022 1\/4 cup champagne<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS:<br \/>\n\u2022 Garnish fresh strawberries<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>DIRECTIONS:<br \/>\n\u2022 Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter two or four 9&#8243; round cake pans, then dust with flour. Line bottoms with parchment paper and\u00a0repeat the butter and flour dusting.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3580\" src=\"http:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0374.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0374\" width=\"540\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0374.jpg 540w, https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0374-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Mix butter and sugar at medium speed until fluffy always stop to scrape down sides of bowl then beat in vanilla.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3581\" src=\"http:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0375.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0375\" width=\"540\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0375.jpg 540w, https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0375-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 In a separate bowl whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. \u00a0Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture alternating with the champagne and ending with the flour beating until combined.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3588\" src=\"http:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG950385.jpg\" alt=\"IMG950385\" width=\"540\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG950385.jpg 540w, https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG950385-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 In another bowl beat the egg whites at high speed until stiff peaks form then gently fold into the batter on third at a time. Then add in berries and frost your cake!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3586\" src=\"http:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG950383.jpg\" alt=\"IMG950383\" width=\"540\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG950383.jpg 540w, https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG950383-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The Whipped cream frosting requires you to puree the strawberries set aside and whip the whipped cream with sugar until soft peaks form.
