\u00a0I have changed the recipe a bit.\u00a0 If you want to play with the flavors and texture you\u00a0can always add water\u00a0chestnuts for crunch and crushed peanuts or cashews. \u00a0I change a recipe most every time I make it depending on what\u00a0I have in my pantry.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>INGREDIENTS:<br \/>\n\u2022 1\u00bd lbs of ground beef (you can substitute turkey or chicken)<br \/>\n\u2022 2 Tbsp of sesame oil<br \/>\n\u2022 4 minced garlic cloves<br \/>\n\u2022 6 diced green onions<br \/>\n\u2022 16 oz coleslaw mix or shredded cabbage<br \/>\n\u2022 Salt &amp; pepper to taste<br \/>\n\u2022 Boston Lettuce or smaller cups of lettuce<\/p>\n<p>SAUCE INGREDIENTS:<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00bd tsp sweetener (Truvia)<br \/>\n\u2022 1 tsp fresh grated ginger<br \/>\n\u2022 1\u00bd tsp white vinegar<br \/>\n\u2022 3 Tbsp\u00a0Tamari Sauce, a gluten free soy sauce<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00bd to 1 tsp of hot sauce (chili paste or Sriracha)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>DIRECTIONS:<br \/>\n\u2022 Brown the ground beef in a large skillet, drain any fat, and set aside.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Salt &amp; pepper to taste.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 While the meat is browning, combine all the sauce ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Heat up the sesame oil and add the garlic green onions and cabbage until cooked.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Add the sauce and the ground beef mix well and serve hot with your lettuce cups.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3335\" title=\"IMG_8932\" src=\"http:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_8932.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"405\" srcset=\"https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_8932.gif 540w, https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_8932-300x225.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This recipe is so easy and takes only a few minutes to put together so we have been making it quite a bit lately.<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This recipe was given to me by a friend, and it works well if you are on a no carb\/sugar diet. \u00a0My family loved this so the second time\u00a0I made it I increased the recipe so I had plenty of leftovers!
