{"id":2589,"date":"2013-05-17T22:23:26","date_gmt":"2013-05-17T22:23:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/?p=2589"},"modified":"2013-05-17T22:23:26","modified_gmt":"2013-05-17T22:23:26","slug":"recipe-oatmeal-cinnamon-bread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/?p=2589","title":{"rendered":"recipe: oatmeal cinnamon bread"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2629\" title=\"photo-(7)\" src=\"http:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/photo-7.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/photo-7.gif 540w, https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/photo-7-225x300.gif 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>INGREDIENTS:<br \/>\n\u2022 1-1\/2 cups boiling water<br \/>\n\u2022 1 cup rolled oats<br \/>\n\u2022 3\/4 cup molasses or honey<br \/>\n\u2022 3 tablespoons soft butter<br \/>\n\u2022 1 tablespoon dry active yeast<br \/>\n\u2022 2 cups lukewarm water<br \/>\n\u2022 8 cups flour, half whole wheat and half unbleached white<br \/>\n\u2022 1 cup sugar<br \/>\n\u2022 2 tablespoons cinnamon<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>DIRECTIONS:<br \/>\n\u2022 Pour boiling water over oats and let stand 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Add molasses and butter.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Dissolve the yeast in the warm water and add to oat mixture.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Beat and work in enough of the flour to make a medium-soft dough.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Turn onto floured board and knead until smooth, about 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Place dough in a clean buttered bowl, turn to butter the top.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Turn onto a board and knead again.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Mix together the cinnamon and sugar.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Divide the dough into 3 pieces, roll each into a rectangle.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Spread the cinnamon sugar mixture onto each.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Roll each rectangle tightly like a jelly roll (cinnamon sugar mixture side in) and seal all the edges.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Place into oiled loaf pans.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2631\" title=\"Bread3\" src=\"http:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bread32.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bread32.gif 540w, https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bread32-225x300.gif 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Cover and let rise till doubled, about 45 mins.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-2630\" title=\"Bread2\" src=\"http:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bread22.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bread22.gif 540w, https:\/\/feastandflowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bread22-225x300.gif 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Preheat oven to 400 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Bake the loaves 5 minutes;
