I know I should curtail my dessert addiction but sometimes (most times) I need just a little bit of sweet.\u00a0 This recipe from the food blog \u201csmitten kitchen\u201d is a winner. \u00a0I love scones in the morning and with summer&#8217;s fresh berries it tastes divine!\u00a0 If you like strawberry shortcake then you&#8217;ll like this recipe.\u00a0 You could add some fresh berries and whipped cream and you have a dessert.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>INGREDIENTS:<br \/>\n\u2022 2 \u00bc cups of all-purpose flour<br \/>\n\u2022 1 tablespoon of baking powder<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00bc cup of sugar<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00bd tsp of salt<br \/>\n\u2022 6 tablespoons of cold butter, cut into cubes or shredded<br \/>\n\u2022 1 cup of very ripe strawberries, chopped<br \/>\n\u2022 1 cup of heavy cream<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>DIRECTIONS:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Preheat oven to 425 degrees and line baking sheets with parchment paper.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Whisk all dry ingredients and then add butter until it resembles a crumbly meal.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Mix in strawberries gently using a rubber spatula. \u00a0Don&#8217;t worry about mixing;
